It would be good if the game made the item carry over clear. Already frustrated from the lack of flint to be able to make anything I smashed my raft to bits and had to restart with nothing as I had put everything in my pack. My second run started badly I still was a bit lame at raft control and was pulled into an island. Also I wanted to see what happens if I start with Daisy. I decided the first check point was a pointless leg down seen as there are easy first pickings and I was starting with no food. I was a little surprised that I only got the Aesop gear but thought it would be too powerful to get everything. My first play through was super frustrating I feel I got far about 1 and a half check points for only having 1 flint. Then seeing the dogs inventory I was like sweet extra space. When I say that I assumed you got to keep all your stuff after a death. The first clue is the dog dragging the backpack from a skeleton. Plus, there are those situations where you are just beat completely up by monsters so that you can barely move, and are going to die anyway, if I had decided to restart the game, instead of bleeding out, then I lose my items. Not only do plenty of games let you quit and get benefits, like FTL ship unlocks, but other games, like One Way Heroics, are a lot less boring to play. I'm not some super player, but I put in the work, just like anyone else. I don't see why that is something to mock. I wanted to use them right from the start, so I started a new game. I was on another dead end run, and didn't feel like continuing.

After multiple failures, I ended up with a full raft upgrade inventory. During that time I built up a bunch of raft parts. I had my dog full up on the proper supplies.How is that fair that you make it to the end and are punished?Īfter that happened, I played multiple games where I continued to die before getting to stage 5.
