He always follow up his jump attack with three vertical swings. He will always swing three times in a row when he does his regular swing. His charge attack now aims directly at you. This attack is telegraphed by him raising his Splat Roller and spinning the head rapidly. The Octo Samurai performs three, extremely long ranged vertical swings. The Octo Samurai gains one new attack, and most of his other attacks become more vicious: The glint is an early warning to get clear before he has a chance to unleash the spin attack. A direct hit is an instant splat, but the attack is telegraphed by the Octo Samurai raising his roller and flashing his eyes. He quickly spins around with his roller, leaving a large ring of ink.He jumps towards the player and does a vertical swing with his splat roller. The Octo Samurai retains all of his Phase 1 attacks, along with two new moves: He always does a backward jump before doing his charge attack.
HIGH SCORE IN ROLLER SPLAT FREE
The boss pauses every time he does this, letting the player get in free hits, especially after the player hears the screech of him braking before dismounting the Octocycle. The Samurai can also get on top of his weapon and charge towards the player, this is when he uses the Octocycle, leaving behind a wide trail of ink if he gets a direct hit, it's an instant splat. In the first part of the battle, the boss will fling its Splat Roller in a similar fashion to the Inkling version, but with a very wide range due to its larger size. After his "ghost" flies away, his Octocycle will flip over and expose its tentacle weak point. To do this, they must first bombard the boss with ink attacks until he pops, similar to a defeated Inkling or Octoling. To defeat the Octo Samurai, the player must destroy his weapon. He carries his own Great Octoweapon that is similar to a Dynamo Roller that can change positions vertically or horizontally to the handle, and can combine with his unicycle to form a vehicle which Sheldon calls "The Octocycle". He wears a black leather motorcycle jacket with golden embroidery on the sides and a print of DJ Octavio on the back. The Octo Samurai has a heavyweight and round body that is similar to as a sumo wrestler, small eyes, and sports a tentacle on the back of his head in a ponytail. Soon thereafter, a larger facility was secured. The Octo Samurai resembles an Octoling but much larger in size and more masculine. High Score Products experienced tremendous growth the following year with business nearly tripling and the process of moving the plant was under way. The name was also thought to have a universal quality, which would cut across cultural lines and be effective in both domestic and foreign markets, particularly in Pacific Rim countries.īy 1992 the Storm name was getting national attention. The name offered a number of possibilities for strong graphic presentation as well as the kind of strong power image traditionally associated with bowling balls and other sports equipment. After several weeks of effort the STORM® name was chosen. The first balls were produced in August 1991 and the process of an appropriate trade name for a HSP bowling ball was begun. Chrisman hired Keith Orton, a pioneer in manufacturing high performance urethane bowling balls, to set up a facility to manufacture bowling balls for High Score Products. Chrisman’s experience in other industries and his long term involvement with bowling led him to believe that small quantity OEM private label manufacturing was a viable market being completely ignored by large manufactures. High Score Products remained a one product company until 1991, when availability of capital and time coincided with the opportunity to manufacture bowling balls.

The new product was marketed as U Clean / U Score Urethane Bowling Ball Cleaner™. Chrisman had noticed urethane bowling balls (a relatively new innovation in ball design) were porous and tended to soak the oil from the bowling lanes. High Score Products was originally founded in 1985 by Bill Chrisman, to market a new product he had developed.
